Hey friends! I’m back for another monthly goals update! I can’t believe we’re in the home stretch of 2016. I totally wrote 2015 on something just the other day! haha. * October Goals Progress:
Monthly Goals:
o Have friends/family over for dinner [We had a lovely dinner with my friend Carlen and her daughter and new bf! <3] ✓
o Attend Anchor Group [Met at our house again. ;) ] ✓
o Set up (& implement) weekday “blocking” schedule [Totally failed at this.] ✗
o Set up a detailed budget for October with Tye [We didn’t exactly stick to it, but we did make one…ha!] ✓
o Attend family wedding ✓
o Write at least one encouraging postcard [I didn’t send a postcard, but I did send out a few birthday cards, so I’m going to count it!] ✓
o Do at least one de-clutter project around the house [Finally got the office area cleaned up and ready for ETSY orders!] ✓
o Schedule doctor’s appointment ✓
o Finish prep for ornaments (update pictures & Etsy listings) & SELL ORNAMENTS!! ✓
o Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class with Tye [We only attended one class this month due to sickness, but we did try to keep up with lessons!] ✓✗
Weekly Goals:
o Plan Meals/Dinners ✓✓✓✓
o Do the laundry/clean the house ✓✓✓✓
o Spend quality time with Tye Beaux [lots of bike riding & a movie date!] ✓✓✓✓
o Do at least one lesson in my Adobe Illustrator (online) class [better than nothing…] ✓✗✗✓
o Call my family ✗✓✓✓
o Weigh-in and take measurements for our weight-loss progress chart ✓✓✓✗
o Post on my blog ✓✓✓✓
o Go to church [This month came with a lot of sickness & grace…] ✓✗✓✗
Daily Goals:
o Read the Bible [I did this about 70% of the time—which is an improvement!] ✓
o Spend time in prayer [90% of the time—definitely more intentional with prayer this month!] ✓
o Walk the dog [I averaged more than 4x/week & went on walks on some weekends!] ✓
o Exercise (3-4x/week) [I averaged just over 3x/week] ✓
o Do my physical therapy stretches (I’m going to try doing these first thing in the morning to see if it makes a difference—IT DID; I did them an average of 3x/week!] ✓
o Read (If I read a book a week for the rest of the year, I’ll have read 50 books this year…wow! …only read a couple times last week, but everyday/most days the other weeks] ✓
o Be in bed before 1a.m. [FAIL! I averaged only 2x/week. There were some major insomnia struggles this month….ugh.] ✗
* November Goals *
Monthly Goals:
o Optimize Etsy listings and SELL ORNAMENTS!!
o Have friends/family over for dinner
o Find a good routine/schedule for weekdays
o Sell/donate/get rid of stuff we no longer use (there is a bunch of stuff currently in the corner of the office that needs to go!)
o Set up a detailed budget for November with Tye (…and hopefully stick to it this time)
o Research Louisiana ballot and VOTE!
o Enjoy Thanksgiving with the in-laws
o Schedule (& take) Christmas card pictures
o Start decorating for Christmas!! (I usually start decorating about a week before Thanksgiving)
o Attend Anchor Group (Friendsgiving!)
o Send an encouraging postcard or two ;)
o Finish Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class with Tye

Several of my monthly goals are to prepare for an intentional Christmas. It’s easy to put things off, but I’d rather November be a little busier than have December feel completely insane and not be able to enjoy the holiday season. What are you working on this month? Anybody else decorate a little early for Christmas so that you have time to enjoy the process?
