I realize that there are only a few days left in September. But I want to make a point to blog about my goals each month, so better late than never, right? hahaI should probably also mention that I DID fill out my PowerSheets at the beginning of the month; I just didn’t get around to blogging about it until now. Anywho… This month has felt SUPER busy! Labor Day, website launch, friends staying with us for the first half of the month, celebrating our church’s first anniversary, the start of football season (!), preparing to sell ornaments for the holidays soon, taking a financial class with the hubs at a local church, etc., etc. Despite the busyness of this month, I’m still trying to work hard at the things that are important to me. Let’s jump in, shall we?
Monthly Goals:
o Attend Anchor Group (this is what our church calls small groups)
o Visit my little brother in Arkansas
o Set up a budget with Tye
o Finish “Anchor Next” class (this is our church’s orientation type class that they have people take before they start volunteering)
o Write at least one encouraging postcard
o Do at least one de-clutter project around the house
o Have family/friends over for dinner
o Prepare for ornament sales next month (update pictures & listings, order shipping supplies, etc.)
Weekly Goals:
o Plan Meals (dinners)
o Do the laundry/clean the house
o Spend quality time with Tye Beaux
o Do at least one lesson in my Adobe Illustrator (online) class
o Call my family
o Weigh-in and take measurements for our weight-loss progress chart (We do this on Saturdays—I’ve lost about 15 lbs. so far this year!!)
o Post on my blog
o Go to church
Daily Goals:
o Read the Bible
o Spend time in prayer
o Walk the dog
o Exercise (3-4x/week)
o Do my physical therapy stretches
o Read
o Be in bed before 1a.m. (have I mentioned that I’m a night owl?)
If you haven’t already read it, check out my last post about my 2016 yearly goals so you can see where all the above-mentioned goals fit in! So I’m sure some of you are thinking, ‘Why are some of these written goals? Shouldn’t they just be habits?’ And while some of them may be, I’m really bad about falling out of good habits—particularly if it involves sitting down and/or focusing. I find that if I have them written down (with a fun little box to check off!), I’m more intentional about sticking with it. So there ya go! I will post again in a couple weeks with my October goals along with a status update on how I did with September’s goals (accountability for the win!). What are you working to accomplish this month? Let me know in the comments! <3
