I’ve been thinking a lot about comparison lately. Social media has a tendency to be the highlight reel of other people’s lives, but we so often hold it as the (totally unachievable) standard of how our own lives should look. I so value when people are authentic and real on social media (without swinging in the ‘Debbie Downer’ direction…haha)! Finding that balance of over-sharing and being authentic is so hard when you run a small business, y’all. Recently a few people I admire have been posting lists of things they DON’T do in an effort to be transparent about the fact that no one is really superman/woman. It got me thinking about all the things I DON’T do in order to prioritize what’s important to me. Here’s my (in no way comprehensive) list of things!

October 2016 Goals!!
Is it just me or does it seem totally crazy that it’s already OCTOBER?!?! Seriously, I’m over here buying my planner for 2017, wondering what happened to 2016? Crazy! I mentioned a few weeks ago when I posted my September Goals that I would give you a ‘progress update’ when I wrote about my October goals. Still trying to figure out the best way to do that, but for now, I just used a little copy + paste action with updates in parentheses (and checkmarks/X’s). Enjoy!

I realize that there are only a few days left in September. But I want to make a point to blog about my goals each month, so better late than never, right? hahaI should probably also mention that I DID fill out my PowerSheets at the beginning of the month; I just didn’t get around to blogging about it until now. Anywho… This month has felt SUPER busy! Labor Day, website launch, friends staying with us for the first half of the month, celebrating our church’s first anniversary, the start of football season (!), preparing to sell ornaments for the holidays soon, taking a financial class with the hubs at a local church, etc., etc. Despite the busyness of this month, I’m still trying to work hard at the things that are important to me. Let’s jump in, shall we?
